At the beginning of March, you can feel a strong cultural and artistic atmosphere in Hong Kong as art events both small and large will be coming one after the other, including the Asia Contemporary Art Show.
The 14th edition of the Asia Contemporary Art Show will be held at the 5-star Conrad Hong Kong in Admiralty. It will feature a selection of contemporary art from around the world, including Malaysia, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Lebanon, Russia, China, Japan, Hong Kong and many more. With over 2,000 pieces of works on show by more than 250 Unlike traditional exhibitions, artworks here are displayed around the rooms on the top floors of the hotel. Opening a door, you’ll see some works hanging conventionally on the wall and sculptures placed on tables. Some are even resting on the beds and even, extending this novel style into the bathroom, on the wash basin, or in the bath! Strolling from floor to floor and room to room is like exploring a creative maze and is full of surprises.
Visitors can enjoy a glass of wine or two while appreciating the art at close quarters and can also chat with the resident artists who are present to introduce their art creations. This unique atmosphere always provides a relaxed, yet inspiring time.One of the strengths of this Show is the way that new emerging artists are featured along with internationally renowned artists, including Chinese artist Ran Qiquan and South Korean contemporary artist Yoo Sun-Tai. Artist Dialogues is another special sector of the Show. Visitors can communicate with the artists to understand their ideas and inspiration as well as their techniques and goals for the future.
